I love autumn. I also love decorating my house for fall. We spend most of our time in our homes and so I approach my own home decoration with positivity in mind. Decorating your home is personal. I try to use things that make me happy for fall: such as pumpkins, candles, nature and especially birds. Changing your home for the season will bring a freshness and warmth and increase the positive energy which will influence you and your family.

Happy Memorial Day!

Many people forgot that today is not just an extra day off for a three-day weekend but something much more. As someone who has had family members serve in the armed services and lost their life in war, I think today is very important. While spending time with friends and family  at picnics, barbecues, parades, beaches or cheering your team at the ball park, please try to take a moment to join with me in remembering and saying a prayer of gratitude for those that are not here.

Giving New Life to a Wrought Iron Patio Set

Sometimes people shy away from DIY projects because they are afraid they will make a mess or mistake or it will not turn out the way they imagine it. This is exactly why I love to DIY. It is about the process and the finished product. There is satisfaction with attempting something and seeing it thru to the end and not giving up. I am always surprised with what I end up with.
