“Stressed spelled backwards is Desserts.” -Unknown
As someone who suffers from anxiety, when the stress level in my life goes up, my anxiety increases. It is impossible to escape all stress, it comes from work, family, neighbors, or even traffic. This week I have felt extra stressed out. When this happens, I begin to feel panic attacks and my anxiety causes me to feel sick. Once you have noticed the early signs of stress and anxiety, you may learn relaxation techniques to prevent them from becoming severe.
Learning to relax takes time. I have learned to use the following relaxation techniques to help me decrease the stress, tension and anxiety.
“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.”
– President Harry S. Truman
Happy Memorial Day!
Many people forgot that today is not just an extra day off for a three-day weekend but something much more. As someone who has had family members serve in the armed services and lost their life in war, I think today is very important. While spending time with friends and family at picnics, barbecues, parades, beaches or cheering your team at the ball park, please try to take a moment to join with me in remembering and saying a prayer of gratitude for those that are not here.

Giving New Life to a Wrought Iron Patio Set
Sometimes people shy away from DIY projects because they are afraid they will make a mess or mistake or it will not turn out the way they imagine it. This is exactly why I love to DIY. It is about the process and the finished product. There is satisfaction with attempting something and seeing it thru to the end and not giving up. I am always surprised with what I end up with.
